Board Recruitment
Venture Norfolk is a not-for-profit Community Futures organization that stimulates economic development, diversity and employment opportunities throughout our catchment area of Norfolk County providing an array of community and business development, counselling and lending services. Venture Norfolk operates under a contribution agreement with the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) to provide Community Futures programming to these communities. We are led by our dynamic volunteer Board of Directors who direct the vision for the organization.
Continuing to build on its successes, Venture Norfolk remains open to interest from potential candidates on an ongoing basis. Generally, Venture Norfolk has a 12 member Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors generally meets monthly, on the last Wednesday of the month, from 4:15pm – 5:30pm. There may also be additional meetings for committee work.
Our ideal candidates are residents or are employed in our catchment area and have experience in two or more of the following:
- Board Governance
- Small Business Operations
- Manufacturing
- Research and Development
- Market Development
- Finance/Banking
- Agribusiness
- Retail
- Technology
- Digital Media/Social Media
- Community Economic Development
